Greetings to every Willing Vessel reading today,

        Today’s post is a little personal, I went back and forth between whether or not I should go into detail about what I’ve been dealing with, or  share the encounter I had with God and the little poem or writing that He gave me during my time with Him… I chose the second option so here it goes:

       Desperate to Hear from God, I kneeled down beside my bed my  playlist on iTunes  titled “God’s Time” playing softly , bible open and notebook beside me just in case. .. As usual I prayed first just to thank God, and ask for sensitive ears, a receptive heart, and wisdom and understanding.  After I prayed, I turned to the front of my study bible to the reading plan “ Who is God” and today the topic was  “God is in Control” Habakkuk 3:3-19 but I read the entire chapter  (Habakkuk 3:1-19). I could tell God orchestrated this perfectly just for me in that moment.  As I read the prayer by the prophet Habakkuk, the song Wonderful Grace by Tasha Cobbs- Leonard ft. Anna Golden came on, but I hadn’t noticed because I was so consumed with the prayer that I read and the prayer I prayer I prayed within my spirit … and just as I got to verse 8-12 God caught my attention and opened my ears to the words

“It says I'm a child of heaven
It says I'm forever free
The wonderful grace of Jesus!

And it's beautiful, wonderful, powerful
Oh, the grace that found me
Yes, it's beautiful, wonderful, powerful
Yes, it was the grace that found me”      I was stunned, shocked, flabbergasted… I was in total AWE  of my God…  but wait , it gets better. I took a moment and just paused and took in that moment with the Lord… Then,  I kept reading, Now at verse 13-19 I’m reading the prayer  “ You went out to rescue your chosen people, to save your anointed ones…”  and now  Tasha and her singers are saying over and over again: 

” Amazing grace
Oh-oh-ooh amazing grace
It always reaches
(Amazing grace)

Oh-oh-ooh (amazing grace)
It always reaches
(Amazing grace, it always reaches)
Amazing grace, yeah (it always reaches)
Amazing grace, it always reaches
Amazing grace, it always reaches

It says I'm a child of heaven
It says I'm forever free
The wonderful grace of Jesus
Always reaches me”

         Ahhhh,  such a sweet experience… Can you believe it ? We serve a God that is THAT sweet, that perfect, and THAT powerful…  In that moment, everything I had been feeling, everything I had been dealing with, went away. He’s bigger than depression, he’s bigger than disappointment, and loneliness. Yet He understands that those are things His children deal with and orchestrates not just time to read a devotion and repent for our sins before drifting off to sleep… But He planned  a sweet, encounter where He Drenched my spirit with His presence… That’s the kind of God we serve… He makes time for  us, and He is so tentative to how we feel and what we need that personalizes each word, each encounter with Him just for you…  Galatians 4:6 tells us “Because we are His children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to call out, “Abba Father.”
